ALDDAO – ALDDAO [rwclass002]

AlDDao - AlDDao

AlDDao’s adventure begins a year and a half ago. After experiencing versions to people like Joy Division and Velvet Underground, Lucia Aldao and Diego Delgado just developed a very rich sound, inevitably dressed in influences, but with a clear intention of originality. In this creative project have sprouted several issues, 3 of which Rawmatroid is proud to present on a brief but intense EP.

The guitars and the saturated bass of Pobriña open with energy a record full of bitter emotions; the individual loneliness and desperation of the characters in his lyrics contrasted with music that conveys a hope. All together is an incredibly beautiful but bittersweet mix that invites us to reflect on ourselves and on the stories of people around you. Lucia’s feature voice fits comfortably in Diego’s piano and guitars chords; added to an atmosphere that remembers to their live performances, makes everything sound close and emotional. In this gloomy landscape so familiar, Pobriña, Crazy Love Show and Candyman result in a incredibly evocative sound and full of personality.

[RRR105] Copenhagen! – NAME?

Copenhagen! - NAME?

Copenhagen! Home of Helena Christensen, Peter Schmeichel, and Metallica drummer, Lars Urlrich. Surprisingly, not the home of Bolgna, Italy’s. Copenhagen!

This three track EP from these Italian indie kids, cultivates their listening habits, and regurgitates a delectable debut release.

EP opener, “Shine the lights out”, utilises laddish chorus repetition, with jagged guitars, and heavy bass. It has an air of late Britpop, which further adds confusion to the locality of this four piece!

“Brighton calls”, is a lush little number with Albarn-like vocals breaking through the blissful mellow mood that the music sets in the background.

The final track, entitled “Surfers” sees Copenhagen! break out a heart-beat drum pattern, an occasional cowbell, a catchy rhythm, and a track that will leave you wanting more.

Copenhagen, Brighton, Bologna…. whatever the location, this first release should be well received.

With KAUSALNEXUS Sandro Kaiser alias FREQUENCY IN CYCLES PER SECOND and PHARMAKUSTIK (Siegmar Fricke) have generated an album that redefines abandoned ambiences in a new style far beyond existing stereotypes. Their intense mutual approach is manifesting in eight mathematically precise acoustic studies on the pathway between cause and effect. Paralytic drone-frequencies merge with necrotic voice-particles; completely dismembered by triggered bit-reduction and combined with slowly evolving mindloops from “theesonicabyss”. Supranuclear radiations are the dominant factor within these pathophysiological pulsations. The deep acoustic anesthetics, embedded in sterilized waveform-antisepsis, lead to a new para-sagittal experience and finally to a different form of physical nociception during listening. KAUSALNEXUS is the neurochemical contra-response to the clichés of drone-textures until today: 61 minutes of ultrasound by magnetic resonance.
Mastering and visual concept by Sandro Kaiser.
