“The FREE! punishment” is an EP which contains four ambient tracks, produced by the Dutch artist Arpatle. Although the first track is a little loungy, the common style is darker and rhythmical. It is available as a free download.

Witch Porn is more of a project than an album or a band. It was started around the beginning of the summer by Taylor Ross (America Del Sur / Picayunes) with the intention of releasing a noise rock full length on Halloween, which Taylor says is his favorite holiday.
At first the album was to be solely about zombies and other horror subjects, but it was soon realized how novel the whole idea was and instead opted for serious subject matter. So on this album you will find songs about zombies, songs that are indirectly about zombies, and songs that are not about zombies at all.
All of the songs were written and recorded by Taylor with the exception of the intro, interlude, and outro, which were the result of a drunken grindcore recording session at Haunted Barn (the name given to a friends guesthouse on the premise of his giant farm in St. Augustine.) These sessions featured Ben G. (real name Tory Coates) on drums, Taylor on guitar, and Matt Kozdras on vocals, who hadn’t ever picked up a microphone before that fateful night, but had just weeks prior completed boot camp and clearly had a lot of pent up anger to release.
Musically this album has all the trademarks you have come to like from Taylor’s other projects. There is still the lazy summer vibe that follows, and yes, I will mention Pavement as I regularly do when discussing his music. The intermissions are a whole different kettle of fish however, being more heavy Rollins than lazy Malkmus.

Quiet Lips, suspended in emptiness, undulating and shimmering, fused with water and fire, gives us a feeling appeasing. Strange decor where reality and the fiction merge narrowly ; minimalist landscape evoking a Feeling of Emptiness, disquiet and sometimes of unrest. In the distance, is concealed an Imaginary City curiously beautiful and mysterious giving a disturbing glance and angelic. Behind this thick fog an industrialized and confined Urban Landscape appears in full development more each day. With a great amplitude, Light Vagabond scans the waves and propagates a soft melody which perpetually gyrates losing itself in the bowels of the city. In the depths of the underground galleries, a Haunted Subway Train, staggered in search of its distant past, tirelessly furrows the icy underground tunnels, to disappear into the dark night.

The typical club sound – you won’t get it here.
Radarfilms album ‘7 not danceable dancetracks’ leads you through other worlds, to dream and drift. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes amusing, sometimes just beautiful and sometimes maybe even danceable.
Radarfilm combines house and techno with warm and experimental sounds and thus creates its own world.
The album also contains two remixes. M-Node contributes a crazy Trip-Hop version of ‘On my way’, and there is a beautiful vocal-version of ‘Housigedark’ by Fiend.

It seems like Astrowind are having the most constant release-frequency on Resting Bell. One release a year, always around September and October. It is the third release on Resting Bell, after “Somewhere The Music Had Been Played” in September 2007 and “Der Leuchtturm” in October 2008. They also released on 12rec and Electrosound/Musica Excentrica.
“Kurland” contains 15 pieces and has a total duration of over 60 minutes, a real longplayer. Kurland is the german name for one of the cultural and historical regions of Latvia (in english: Courland). So you have scenic titles like “Kurland”, “Nebel”, “Sounds Of The Shores” but also pieces about aerospace and deep sea. Compared to the older Astrowind-releases the new work sounds a bit deeper and adult. You still find the synth-drones and the noises and glitches but everything is arranged very focused, very sublime. Every element is set very sensible and well chosen.
And again Grisha Kochenov did a really impressive artwork.
