Mazel Source shows his true self in this deeply personal EP. A newcomer determined to define his own unique sound, Mazel infuses his work with constantly evolving textures and percussive evolutions punctuated with dynamic synths stabs. This EP is guaranteed to keep you on your toes, on the dancefloor or at home.
1. Baysak Street. The title track is a moody journey showing depth that belies the freshness of its producer to the scene. The attention to detail as the story in the track unfolds is undeniable.
2. The Unknown.
This minimal adventure features hypnotic percussion arrangements, slow sweeping synths and sublime string arrangements that combine to form a warm, emotional piece where every sound has room to breath.
3. Under the Sphinx.
Minimal drums, deep sub bass and powerful synth stabs, steeped in watery delays and lush reverb. A dancefloor monster.
Mazel Source’s Baysak Street EP is out soon on Beatport availble on digital download only.
Pünktlich zum Jahreswechsel gibts auf WEARK das 12. Release…
Seite 1 “SWEET” 01 Back in the days
02 Without
03 Depressed
04 No Way
05 Tausendsasafluff
Seite 2 “SOUR” 01 Congotronics
02 Knights of Bodenwelle

Once upon a time i was working on a radiostation and we had a task to record some speeches for Emergency Department. So, an actor from the local theater was invited and all the instructions were spoken over the microphone. One record was about what to do if an incident on the Volgodonsk Nuclear Power Plant happens (check Google Earth or Google Maps). The text was scary and actual (Volgodonsk is about 260 km from Taganrog) and, of course, i decided to use it. That’s how the Nuclear Volgodonsk trilogy appeared. First, there were only 3 tracks, 2 with no vocals and sounding almost the same (part 1 & 2) and the third one, totally different, with instructions. Plus, DJ Spell from Moscow made a mind-blowing dancefloor-friendly-acid remix (which was then taken by Diggarama netlabel as a part of Mystique EP). I tried to release the whole EP, but labels i got connections with, showed no interest at that moment…
Time passed, i re-mastered all the tracks and added 2 more, similar in emotional sense, and decided to finally put everything together as an integral story. Listen to the warnings and be aware of the Power of Atom! Amen!

The Synthi Group is back for the second installment of their ongoing Electronic Music Studio (EMS) instrument centered compilations. With the popularity of Vol. I, downloaded over 41,000 times, it was made clear that an interest exists for the unique sound of EMS machinery. Vol. II continues the DIY ethic of the first, encapsulating a diverse array of sounds from ultrasonic frequencies and spring reverb howls to rubbery logic sequences and colliding inverted ramp oscillators.
The members presenting their own manipulations and interpretations of the Synthi. Encompassing elements from vintage analog, ambient, glitch and experimental, both beginners and aficionados of electronic music alike will find interest in the varying styles presented here. Available through Clinical Archives, the Synthi Group: Vol. II must not be missed. Bleep.
