Sascha Müller - The Revenge Of The Computer Gods EP

After the rather housy Compilation [gargan050], crashing on Gargan051 once again the techno- and acid beats. This EP is not for Romantics. The wild, nice rough tracks have a high average power level. From the first second you can feel the spirit of Sascha Müller.

[RRR194] Cody England – The Monotony Monopoly

Cody England - The Monotony Monopoly

Everyone falls in love. Sometimes when they shouldn’t. In his newest EP “The Monotony Monopoly”, and his debut on Rack & Ruin, Cody England goes through the emotions of an impossible crush. The desire, sadness, love sickness, realization/healing, and hope for the future all wrapped respectively in their own short song.

“The Monotony Monopoly” unlike his earlier self released EP, “The Metal Man from Hamburger Land” always has a real song structure, and is much more lyrically driven. This is most apparent in the songs “The Park Bench” and “All in My Head”. The latter being Cody’s personal favorite on the EP. Like “The Metal Man from Hamburger Land”, This release has a lo-fi electronic sort of feel to it. However “The Monotony Monopoly” has a more refined sound, using mostly sounds from Cody’s aging GEM home organ, and having been recorded with better equipment.

[AUDCST041] Soli-Ohm – Epistemology

Soli-Ohm – Epistemology

Artist(s): Soli-Ohm
Release Title: Epistemology
Release Code: AUDCST041
Released: 17/11/2010
Bit Rate/Format: 320kb/s MP3
Genre(s): Psychedelic, Goa, Chill-out

This album has been in the works for over a year now, and it’s my first complete album, so in essence this will be my debut into the world of music.

The inspirational source was in the 90s, when the old-school goa trancers created their fantastic and melodious psychedelic sound, especially Israeli guys.

“Epistemology” is the way for my vision of goa trance sound, sometimes it looks crazy and weird, sometimes like the fathers had done, but the main aim is to provide syncretism of musical styles as psy, fullon and goa. I hope, that people, listening this stuff can open their hearts and souls for love and freedom.

I hope so. Big thanks to Audiocast Productions for this release.

Sincerely yours, Max

[Kahvi297] SpeaK – Once Nomadic

SpeaK - Once Nomadic

A change of pace for release 297, and SpeaK returns with a massive 16 tracks of audio treats, totalling 48 minutes.

Since his previous release back at #228, his style seems to have evolved with a far more advanced and smoother production compared to the slightly oldskool beats of ‘Mindsplit’.

With ‘Once Nomadic’, SpeaK has created a gem of flowing, ambience intermixed with occasional addictive melodies and swirling complexities. The first three tracks set the theme for the whole album, I love it here triggering a sense of calm and quietness, leading onto Crepuscular Rays with its mix of guitars (a good combination).

Many tracks worth listening to in this release, but probably my favourite has to be ‘Pulsating’ coming in at position 4
