Coming from Italy, The Zars are a dance-electronic duo formed by Alex Tessarolo and pAd. Both artists focuses to play only vinly in their DJ sets adding different sources to performance their own productions with live vocals support.

Their sets move easily from techno-dub to house connected by a deep and dedicated raw touch getting a new level with Detroit House sound. Zars’ music is made of contrasts and oppositions that tend to create rather than destroy: club stuff vs chamber music, techno vs house, black vs white, a Mediterranean pounding heart vs a northern European mind-set the past and the future, that contrast better known as the present.

The Zars have played at several venues in Rome like the ones of Brancaleone, Circolo degli Artisti, Muzak, NYlon, Atelier 35, Locanda Atlantide, Roma Vintage, Nissan Juke Energy Village, and the RGB events with guests like Octave One and Joris Voorn at Brancaleone in winter 2010.

Debutant the Zars delivers on the Progrezo Records 175th installment, their brand new EP Klimt Eastwood, featuring two original tracks of sophisticated Techno beats, infected with Detroit House elements.

‘Klimt Eastwood’ opens the spectrum with hypnotic ride-hats releasing a dynamic tech rhythm along with an infected male voice over solid kick-drum, bringing a progressive environment of trippy acid-techno with strong bass-line and psychedelic synth shades.

Definitely a track that brings together cutting-edge ambience and stomped rhythm with high quality elements from modern techno-beats next to best Detroit spirit, characteristic of the last century.

‘Matteo’ starts with elegance calm, doing a subtle break to prepare its music arsenal for a trippy tech journey. Infected and malicious, it drives through different states adding mad acid-synth lines, sick voices and percussion-rides, surrounded by a vacuum ambience aimed straight to the dance floor.

A memorable track for classy techno DJ sets.

Hello. Symbiostic would like to introduce you to this special Balkan, Gipsy Datscha EP called Rabota Takaja (A Damn Killer) with Remixes by Lennart Vonau, Teenage Mutants, Nick Haze and Wolfgang Lohr. The Original Song, produced by Wolfgang Lohr, belongs to the Soundtrack of the Short Movie “A Damn Killer” (http://www.adamnkiller.com)

As an accomplished trumpet player and vocalist Wolfgang Lohr has toured extensively with bands throughout Germany for the last fifteen years. More recently he devoted himself to producing and mixing for other bands and musicians. Apart from his own music on lables such as Satelitt Digital (Berlin), PR Underground (Sweden) and Symbiostic (Berlin), he has done remixes for artists such as Madness, Round Table Knights, Invisible Brothers, Roby Howler and Teenage Mutants.

Three Edits and Remixes were produced by Lennart Vonau from Lübeck, well known as a former part from DJ’s@Work, who stormed the Top Ten of Media Control Charts in 2001 with ‘Someday’. This was followed by attaining a VIVA/ZDF Cometen for the Best National Dance Act in 2002. Lennart produced Remixes for Rosenstolz, Patrick Bunton and more. (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Lennart+Vonau)

Another Remix comes from Teenage Mutants. Pascal Klank and Kristian Samujlo from Mainz / Hamburg are part of the new German wave of producers. Their debut release ‘Africa…Boombasa!’ climbed directly into the Top 40 Beatport chart and garnered support from US, UK, French and Russian blogs. Their tracks have received support from Don Rimini, Fuckkk Offf, Cyberpunkers, Tonka, Theaston Shuffle, Mustard Pimp, Sono and Shir Khan; (http://www.facebook.com/teenagemutants)

The release gets completed by Nickolay Tsvetkov alias Nick Haze, a Producer, Remixer & DJ from Asenovgrad, Bulgaria. (Nickolay a.k.a Nick Haze), a young, promising artist who takes no compromises when combining his musical skills with his cultural heritage.

Progrezo Records’ tenth installment in the Collector series comes from the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, Prague.

Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.3 million people, while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of over 2.3 million. The city has a temperate oceanic climate with warm summers and chilly winters.

Prague has been a cultural and economic centre of Europe and particularly central Europe during its 1,100 year existence. For centuries, during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, Prague was the permanent seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus was also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire. Later it was an important city in the Habsburg Monarchy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and after World War I became the capital of Czechoslovakia.

The city is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of twentieth century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Wall, and Pet?ín hill. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

With a wide variety of tourism interestin and attractions, Prague has under its belt more than ten major museums, along with countless theatres, galleries, cinemas, and a wide variety of musicians and artists, being a main place for electronic music producers and enthusiasts, including electronic bands the likes of MAUT, Ievgeniy Kozlov and more.

Progrezo Records’ 07 installment in the Collector series from Prague, is pleased to present some of the most recognized and representative artists born/established in Checz Republic as known as Maut, Elina Testaverder and Ievgeniy Kozlov, Djs, musicians and singers who have been involved within the electronic music scene since early days with massive support.

Their music takes us in a journey of cinematic landscape, surrounded by suggestive atmospheres straight out of a fairy tale, accompanied by a subtle and angelic voice. Leisurely pace and minimal textures introduces us in a world of magic castles. Check it out !!

Next stops from Berlin, Rome, Paris and Moscow more. Stay tuned !!

Aka Soundsite was formed by Spanish’ Miguel Rey & Trevor Klap. After several independent years, they started to work as DJs & producers, combining their own styles and different work techniques, adapting that knowledge to many Electronics styles (Electro, Techno, Minimal, Tech-House and Club).

Occasionally performing live and developing some techniques for different styles, trying to advance within the electronics as most originally as possible, combining avant garde sounds. They have signed to labels the likes of Dirty Stuff, Gm Music Distributions, Sheeva and System Recordings where shared with James Holden, James Zabiela, Miss Kittin, Sasha, John Digweed and Josh Wink.

Their music has reached top #1 sells on Beatport, among other specialized music stores. Actually they are on a new face, more personal and defined for Akasoundsite (Modern Techno Fusion). Recently featured in Progrezo Records with massive support, the Spanish duo Akasoundsite is back with its brand new Radio Activity EP, featuring 3 original tracks of big techno room with sophisticated beats surrounded by evolving atmospheres.

‘Spectrum Sharing’ is a memorable track that the crowd can’t stop dancing. It delivers a high – tech – rhythm aimed straight to bomb the dance floor by its huge ambience with infected voice.

‘Variance’ delivers a trippy techno beat with dirty ambience powered by evolving cymbal-ride and cutted bass-drum, bringing a solid track for the techno lovers.

‘Critical’ features a sophisticated techno-beat, solid and full of tension to explote the dance floor with a sick drum-kick and infected bass line, it strips of neurons in a inexplicable manner.

In short, this package has all the qualities to be one of the new top charts into the modern techno movement. A huge release to watch and play !!

Progrezo Records’ eleventh installment in the Collector series comes from the capital and largest city of Georgia, Tbilisi. Tbilisi is lying on the banks of the Mt’k'vari (Kura) River. The name is derived from an early Georgian form T’pilisi and it was officially known as Tiflis until 1936. The city covers an area of 726 km2 and has 1,480,000 inhabitants.

Some of Tbilisi’s notable tourist destinations are the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Freedom Square, Sioni Cathedral, Metekhi, Narikala, Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, Anchiskhati Basilica, Mtatsminda Pantheon (Holy Mountain), Kashveti Church along with the National and Historic Museums of Georgia and a number of art galleries.

Tbilisi is the home of famous artists. The city life was immortalized in their art by Niko Pirosmani and Lado Gudiashvili. Actually is an important centre and meca of rising music cultures of any and every kind of styles, including electronic music bands such as Kung Fu Junkie and Okinawa Lifestyle.

Progrezo Records’ 07 installment in the Collector series from the strategically social and cultural centre of Tbilisi, features some of the most recognized artists related to electronic music as Kung Fu Junkie, Okinawa Lifestyle, Gacha, The Forest, Vako and Solar Eclipse, representative icons from Georgia’ dance music scene.

From surrounded cinematic landscapes to avant-garde electronica beats, these breakthrough artists are claiming their own place within the finest electronic music world over with an authentic and solid stamp of high quality music influenced by a strong culture city.
As TUS OJOS goes deep inside deep into a techno with some vocals cut off with a surgery accuracy, ETRANGE LUNDI throws our two anti-heros on the underground’s Detroit Techno.

Progrezo Records’ fourteenth installment in the Collector series, comes from the largest capital city of Greece, Athens. Athens is one of the world’s oldest cities, as its recorded history spans around 3,400 years. Classical Athens was a powerful city-state.

A centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato’s Academy and Aristotle’s Lyceum, it is widely referred to as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy, largely due to the impact of its cultural and political achievements during the 5th and 4th centuries BC on the rest of the then known European continent.

Today a cosmopolitan metropolis, modern Athens is central to economic, financial, industrial, political and cultural life in Greece and it is rated as an Alpha world city.
The city also retains a vast variety of Roman and Byzantine monuments, as well as a smaller number of remaining Ottoman monuments projecting the city’s long history across the centuries. Athens was the host city of the first modern-day Olympic Games in 1896, and 108 years later it welcomed home the 2004 Summer Olympics. Athens is home to a long list of well known electronic music producers and enthusiasts, becoming in one of the Meditarranean’ most interesting places to visit.

It night-life goes from side to side including Thessaloniki and Mikonos. Nowadays Greece meets a wide variety of cultures and visitors not only by its architectural and cultural environment, but for the country’s strategic location, being point of development in the Mediterranean.

Release #5 on Tellermotion, again by Christian Michael. This time correctly listed as Techno, though slightly melodic (Track No.2, “Turbo Blend”). Christian expands his shuffle beats with an underlying melodic pattern, and in the background there is something that sounds brassy somehow. “Just an old Synth” Christian assures.. well ok, sometimes old is gold. All in all for us the single generates a mixture between happy atmosphere and really groovy and pure Techno. We hope U enjoy!

Hello, we’re pleased to announce that our newest release is available. Symbiostic 004 contains three great tracks.

Basti Pieper’s “Blackpearl” pumps straight ahead from the first moment and do not let your feet stand still until it gets from time to time roughly interrupted by some nice breaks. His way of bringing unexpected elements into his tracks as he filled parts of “Blackpearl” with some whistle flute sounds are bracing, what he also demonstrates catchy on further releases on labels like Resopal, Plastic City and his own lable Herz ist Trumpf. We strongly recommend to check out his upcoming stuff.

The track “Glockengeloet” from Wolfgang Lohr, a modern piece of techouse music, let your ass swing. The well arranged vocals, trumpet sounds and percussions with nice decent oriental influence combined with this floor stamping bassline make this track to a real peaktime sound. That´s how we like it. Get up!

The third track in the row comes from S.Sic, who already released a track on Symbiostic002.
“I don’t know, where i’m” with it’s smooth structure catches your mind and involves you into a pleasant arrangement of sounds and surfaces where time has no meaning.

Its population in 2010 was estimated with a greater metropolitan area more than 2 million residents, making Warsaw the 10th most populous city proper in the European Union.

Pepone EP is the first vinyl release of MAZEL SOURCE, and from LETHAL DOSE RECORDINGS.

All 3 tracks represent his inner state of techno, house, dark, bumpin, with experiments of the atmospheres.

He plays with big basses and create the groove using modern and bouncin rythms.

Pepone – keeps unusual feelings with a sort of new soup. No big break, but the second powerful part makes your skin filled gooseflesh.

Pinuts – is the dark sound of this EP, respecting Lethal Doses traditions. Minimalism on the rythmic structure, and fat work with ambient and psychedelia sounds on the second part.

Des Bariques - gives a bass like Flat Beat (Mr Oizo) in his best years.
It is a dancin EP, for black and wet dancefloors, for a large public between Minus fans or Soma, Marble, Frucht, and Sleaze ones, preparing to a long collaboration with LETHAL DOSE RECORDINGS.

2: Besos For Pesos

(Techhouse / Techno / House)

Available at beatport… and all other common stores Worldwide.

Release #4 on Tellermotion is again a techhousy (though listed under Techno) 2-track single by Christian Michael. He doesn’t want to make a big fuzz about his music, all he tells us is that he, bored of using the same samples over and over again, used his own percussions to get a more organic sound for these two recent tracks. ‘Esta Rosa’ got a special note with original vocals from a South American party girl he met in the club. He keeps it real and has fun, that’s what we like, and we hope you enjoy too…

The already 6th release on DimbiDeep Music discovers a real genius in Dub Techno called “Syncronize” coming out of some deep woods with his “HB Files” including 4 very unique tracks situated between ambient, dubtronica and acid. Its a journey through the morning fog with great soundscapes, deep basslines, noisy pads and a lot of decent percussions leaving place for some special wide delays and room effects. Some people would interpret it as very melancholic sounds, but we say its more a chilled and emotional turn opening up a really challenging listening experience.

4 tracks. deep, minimal, techno. To buy in several stores. Diametral Cube

Bavaria based producer Stefan Lechner is giving his debut on the “Cube” imprint of Diametral, that already gained a lot of reputation by the releases of Fallhead, Shi Buka and Sascha Walter some months ago. The already 5th release comes again straight to the dancefloor with a great mix of minimal techno and techhouse elements. Stefan is showing up his ability to combine fine deep and dubby sounds with driving basslines and very varied percussive arrangements.

“Fashion Victim” and “Platoon” are the more danceable tracks on this ep, instead “Seamark” and “Kalabas” have a little more listening factor but will also work very goog in every set played at the right time.
